How to export Wells Fargo statements into Microsoft Excel and Google spreadsheets
Step 1: Log in to your Wells Fargo account
From your computer:
- Go to the Wells Fargo home page.
- Enter your Username and Password.
- Click “Sign In.”
Step 2: Download transactions in an Excel file
- Once logged in, click on the relevant account under Account Summary
- Click on “Download Account Activity”
- On the next loaded page, do the following steps.
- For Step 1, simply select the account you require in the drop down list
- For Step 2, insert a starting date and the end date for your required transaction period.
- For Step 3, Under “File Format”, chose “Comma Delimited (ASCII, Spreadsheet)”
- Click on “Download”
- The file will automatically download to your computer.
- Once you have finished downloading all your account information, sign off from Wells Fargo Online® and open your file/spreadsheet/workbook (Example: Excel *.xls file type).
- With an Excel or other spreadsheet file/workbook already open, go to the File menu/Open or Import function.
- Find the file that you downloaded earlier and double click on it. The information will be imported into your active file/spreadsheet/workbook.
Step 3(a): Open the file on Excel Online
- Go to onedrive.live.com and sign in with your Microsoft account.
- Click on Upload Files
- Select the file downloaded in Step 2 and click Open
- The file will be uploaded on your One Drive
- Click on it to open it using Excel Online
Step 3(b): Open the file on Google Sheets
- Go to drive.google.com and sign in with your Google account.
- Click on New File Upload
- Select the file downloaded in Step 2 and click Open
- The file will be uploaded on your Google Drive
- Click on it to open it using Google Sheets
