Announcing the Winning Grantees of the 2021 Spreadsheet Builders Challenge

Today Tiller is pleased to announce the three winning entries of the 2021 Spreadsheet Builders’ Challenge.

Through the Challenge, Tiller aimed to encourage spreadsheet builders to create impactful Google Sheets-based solutions that help people feel greater insight, confidence, and control of their financial lives.

We received an incredible array of proposals this year and hope all are eventually produced.

Each grantee was required to submit a detailed proposal following a rigorous set of criteria. 

We are excited to work with these three builders in the coming months, each of whom will receive a $1000 development grant:

• Adam B. – “Find out how much money you are spending on coffee every month, even though you don’t want to, because you probably should.”
• Brad W – “Category Schedules – Create a roster of project or activity components to roll up and drive a category’s budget.”
• Catherine M. – “Track your travel spending in more granularity with a breakdown for each trip”

Next Steps

Each of the grantees will now start building their proposed spreadsheets. They’ll receive guidance and feedback from Tiller’s team along the way. We aim to publish their finished spreadsheets in January for you to test and use.
